Do I require both the large and small Facilitator™?

Yes. Tullo developed two different sizes of the Facilitator™ as the Facilitator™ PGR-Standard was not suitable for patients who were under approximately 5’2. The Facilitator™ PGR-Small was developed to accommodate the needs of these smaller-anatomy patients.

Do I put the Facilitator™ on the back of the glenoid?

The Facilitator™ is meant to go on the ridge of the glenoid at approximately the 5 or 7 o’clock position on the left or right shoulder respectively. It is not meant to slide down on the back of the glenoid. This allows you to ream your glenoid without hitting the Facilitator™.

How do I insert the Facilitator™?

The Facilitator™ is meant to be inserted with the arm neutral where the humeral cut is facing the glenoid. Lock the Facilitator™ to the humeral cut by pulling it posterior and down. Then when it is fixed to the edge of the glenoid you can externally rotate the arm to get better visualization of the glenoid. It is not meant to be put in with the arm externally rotated.

Will I have to reposition the Facilitator™ during surgical use?

Every patient is different both in their body habitus and anatomy and so at times you may need to readjust the Facilitator™ and relock it against the humeral cut. Also, if your assistant does not hold constant pressure on the Facilitator™, it may slide down the back of the glenoid and may need to be adjusted. Remember the pull of the Facilitator™ should be posterior inferior, not straight posterior.

Can the Facilitator™ be used for both left and right shoulders?

Yes, the Facilitator™ PGR-SMALL and Facilitator™ PGR-LARGE are universal for both left and right shoulders.

Are any additional materials or supplies required to use this device?

No. The Facilitator™ can be added to any orthopedic surgical instrument set and used as needed

Is Tullo FDA registered?

Yes. Tullo is an FDA-Registered Medical Device Establishment (registration 3030861184). All devices are developed in accordance with 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485:2016.

Is this device available in Canada or other countries outside the US?

The Facilitator™ is currently available only in the US but we are in the process of approvals for additional countries. Please contact us to advise on your country and you will be the first to know when approval is complete.

Can I purchase bulk orders of this device?

Yes. We are able to accommodate orders of any size. Delivery times may vary based on inventory.

What is the typical shipping time once I place an order?
